Kevin Sites' Blog
The recent controversy surrounding the apparent killing of an unarmed Iraqi civilian by a Marine has been a regular topic of right-wing radio and the 101st Bloviating Keyboarders. It seems amazing to me that people have conducted a proper investigation from their Lazy Boy and determined that no crime has been committed, no violation of military law occurred. Yet these same yahoos crucified Kerry for allegedly shooting an unarmed Vietnamese civilian.
I don't know what happened. I don't know of all the surrounding circumstances. I wasn't there. That's the job of the investigators. I suspect, however, that this will get played out in a military courtroom somewhere for everyone to see.
Kevin Sites, the cameraman who committed this to video tape, has a blog. He's been writing of his experiences since March of 2003. He has a long and detailed entry describing everything that happened that day, before and after.
Highly recommended.
