The Visit to Sequim

Sequim, Washington. Home of the Lavender Festival and the Irrigation Festival. Seriously. It resides in the middle of Western Washington's Sunbelt on the northern edge of the Olympic Peninsula and the Olympic National Forest, overlooking the Straits of Juan de Fuca.

Sequim is a lovely town with aspirations that will never be realized because it's so far from civilization. Nearby Port Angeles has a Costco and Wal-Mart, but that's about it. Interestingly, people from Forks come to Port Angeles and Sequim for vacation and shopping!

That's where my dad and step-mom now reside. Eric and I went to visit and we had a nice time. We returned home in time to meet the wife and daughter returning from work and dinner. It's nice to be part of the Leisure Class.
